What is a session like?
You’ll be amazed at how easy and comfortable it is
Sometimes the easiest way for you to learn what coaching is about is to actually be coached. So, at our first session, which is complimentary, we will start with a brief discussion of what coaching is about and how we can best work together. Then we’ll have a short coaching session on a real topic. Even in 30 minutes, you will see the power of coaching.
For sessions going forward, logistics are easy. We can talk on the phone (yes, these are very effective) or meet in my home office in Marblehead MA. We can also Skype or Zoom. Sessions last an hour and have a natural arc to them. I will give you tools that will benefit you for the rest of your life. You bring a topic and we are off and running!
Though there can be similarities, coaching is not therapy. I do not diagnose or treat. In coaching, you are the expert in your life. Coaching focuses on today, the present, as it impacts your future. I believe you are creative, resourceful and whole. Together, we design an alliance for how we will work.
I will give you tools that will benefit you for the rest of your life.
In my experience, clients benefit most from a series of sessions which allow a gentle yet full exploration of your goals, dreams and roadblocks. Making transitions or getting unstuck takes time and careful consideration! I offer discounts for packages of 8 and 16 sessions.
I welcome clients of all ages–recent grads, young as well as seasoned professionals and those nearing retirement. Life coaching can benefit anyone willing to explore. Remembering back to my years post-college, the sooner you start coaching, the better! My practice was inspired in part by the years of uncertainty that I experienced in high school, college and beyond (“What do I want to do in my life”, “What credentials do I need?”). I wish I’d had a coach back then.
